Bokkie Berry Soap: A Tribute to South Africa’s Wild Beauty - R35

In the heart of South Africa’s untamed landscapes, where the wild spirit of nature thrives, a graceful creature roams: the bokkie—a small antelope, known for its agility, charm, and unspoken connection to the land. The bokkie embodies the playful spirit and quiet elegance of the African wilderness, leaping through tall grasses and dappled sunlight. It is this beautiful creature, coupled with the richness of South Africa’s berry-filled fields, that inspired the creation of Bokkie Berry Soap. Crafted to celebrate the purity and vibrant energy of South Africa, this exfoliating soap is more than just a skincare product—it is a reflection of the land itself. Blending local berry extracts with the earthy textures of the region, Bokkie Berry Soap provides a gentle, invigorating scrub while nourishing your skin with the antioxidants found in native fruits. Each bar is a tribute to the pristine landscapes that have long nurtured such natural treasures. As the sweet fragrance of wild berries fills the air, the soap exfoliates and hydrates, leaving behind the feeling of soft, refreshed skin. The rich, textured bar mimics the rugged terrain of the South African wilderness, with every scrub invigorating your senses like a playful bokkie darting through the wilds. With Bokkie Berry Soap, you’re not just caring for your skin—you’re embracing the spirit of the South African landscape, honoring its beauty, and connecting to the wild essence that inspires it all.

Zamani Rose Soap - R62

In the heart of South Africa’s lush landscapes, where the wild beauty of nature meets the elegance of ancient traditions, lies the inspiration for *Zamani Rose Soap*. The word "Zamani" means "timeless" in Zulu, a fitting tribute to the enduring beauty and grace of roses that have graced gardens for centuries. This soap was carefully crafted to capture the essence of South Africa's vibrant flora, blending the soft fragrance of freshly bloomed roses with the sweet, juicy essence of ripe strawberries. As the story goes, long before the hustle of modern life, communities in rural South Africa would gather in secret gardens, where wild roses flourished amidst towering hills. It was here, among these hidden treasures, that women shared ancient beauty rituals passed down through generations. They would gently wash their skin with rose-infused waters, known for their calming and nourishing properties, while the strawberries, sweetened by the warm African sun, provided a rich, hydrating treat for the skin. Inspired by this timeless ritual, *Zamani Rose Soap* harnesses the nurturing power of nature’s most beloved blooms and fruits, offering a luxurious, hydrating cleanse that leaves the skin feeling as fresh and smooth as the rose petals it’s named after. With each use, you are transported to a fragrant garden where beauty knows no boundaries, and the soul is enveloped in nature's most cherished offerings. Perfect for daily indulgence, *Zamani Rose Soap* is more than just a cleanser; it’s a journey back to the simplicity of nature’s purest forms, where elegance and rejuvenation are found in every delicate bubble.

Sabi Sands Soap - R60

In the heart of South Africa lies the iconic Sabi Sands Game Reserve, a place where the wild pulse of Africa beats in rhythm with the ancient land. The air is thick with the scent of earthy forests and open savanna, where lions prowl, elephants wander, and the spirit of nature reigns free. It is from this untamed beauty that our Sabi Sands Sandalwood Soap is born. Crafted with the same wisdom that the land has whispered for centuries, this soap captures the earthy essence of the Sabi Sands, blending rich sandalwood with a collection of nature’s finest botanicals. The grounding fragrance of sandalwood evokes the warmth of the savanna at sunset, while nourishing oils such as marula and baobab hydrate and replenish your skin, just like the life-giving waters of the African bush. Each bar of Sabi Sands Sandalwood Soap is a journey through the wilderness, a reminder of the majestic creatures and landscapes that call this region home. The carefully chosen ingredients gently exfoliate and cleanse, leaving your skin not just feeling rejuvenated, but deeply connected to the land it comes from. A calming, earthy fragrance lingers, evoking the spirit of Africa’s vast, untouched beauty. Indulge in the luxury of nature’s harmony with every use, and let the soul-soothing essence of the Sabi Sands take you to a place where time slows, and the wild heart of Africa beats through the rhythms of nature. Perfect for those who long for an authentic, grounding experience, and an unforgettable connection to the wild.

I absolutely love the lip balm and body butter from Guildfree. Lips are soft and stay soft. They stay soft for so long after I have put the lip balm on. Don’t need to keep applying it every five minutes. I apply it every so often. The smell is amazing. I love that the lip balm and body butter is organic. So no harm done to skin. My skin is soft, smooth and silky after body butter. Helps with my winter skin. Every winter my lips crack and my skin turns dry. But thanks to these products I don’t have that problem. It’s easier to wear dresses as the warmer weather comes along as my skin isn’t dry and I don’t have to hide my legs or arms. I can’t wait to try out some more products. Absolutely love Guildfree products and service.

Foundation 40 ml

R 365.00  Wonderful, natural, organic and healthy liquid foundation. Beautiful coverage for the natural look. Even though natural looking, the coverage is adequate where needed. The foundation comes in a variety of shades – from light to very dark – for all skin tones. It does not clog the pores and has a natural sun-protection factor of about 5. This liquid foundation stays on the skin and does not need to be touched up. It also comes off beautifully when removed. The coverage is natural but good. Should more coverage be needed, just use a bit more of the foundation when applying. Ingredients: Silica*, Mica, Iron Oxide, Natural Minerals. *In its purest form. So far , I have only tried Inusiasm’s lipstick but just that one product brought me here to leave a review . I am so impressed by both the pigment & creamy texture of the product, not to mention how long-lasting it is. Making the switch to mineral based / natural products can be difficult but this brand makes it easy. Will definitely be trying their other products in the future.

Makeup has become a major part of our lives and individuals are becoming aware of what they are putting on their skin. Now, it is not necessary to go for a well-done makeup look every time. Natural makeup looks are trending as people prefer living a more minimalist life and using products from natural sources. Natural makeup products contain fewer harmful chemicals than regular ones, reducing the chances of skin damage and other health effects. Natural makeup can also be beneficial for people with sensitive skin, as it doesn’t contain preservatives, dyes, artificial fragrances, and heavy metals like lead and arsenic. Though natural makeup generally costs more than regular makeup, it can provide numerous advantages like lower risk of skin irritation, fewer odor-induced headaches, and a younger-looking skin. Additionally, natural makeup often contains skin-healthy ingredients like avocado oil, shea butter, rosehip oil, and jojoba oil that can nourish and hydrate your skin.
Even though it’s sparsely available, there are quite a few options to choose from when it comes to organic and natural makeup products. Here’s what you can look for to make your shopping experience easier and much more beneficial.

Since natural makeup varies from brand to brand, it’s important to check its packaging. Look for these labels to find the best natural product for your needs.

Fragrance-free: Always opt for makeup products that come without synthetic fragrances. Avoid products that say “unscented”, because often they have chemicals that mask other fragrances.

Synthetic ingredients: Most natural products should be free of parabens, formaldehyde, and phthalates. It’s always important to check the ingredients to make sure your product doesn’t contain them.

Possible allergens: Even natural ingredients can cause skin irritation or allergic reactions. Check the packaging to ensure that you’re not sensitive to any of the ingredients used. If you’re still unsure, apply the product on a patch of your skin and let it be on for a few hours. If there are no problems, go ahead and buy the product.

Cruelty-free: If you prefer cruelty-free makeup, look for the bunny logo on the packaging or for the PETA logo. You can even do a simple google search to know whether a specific brand is cruelty-free or not.
Yes, a lot of natural makeup products are made for different types of skins. In fact, there are a lot of products that address a lot of skin issues and conditions. It’s a good idea to buy products based on what your skin needs. You must always check for any ingredients that can cause inflammation and skin irritations.

During pregnancy, Alster recommends switching to a mineral powder foundation or sunscreen that contains zinc oxide or titanium dioxide. “Most mineral-based brands are organic, naturally reflective sunscreens that can do double duty as lightweight foundations,” says Alster.

More often than not, retinol appears in night-time skincare routines. This is because this powerful substance removes dead skin cells from the upper layer of the skin’s surface. This resultantly makes skin more vulnerable to sun damage. Moreover, you should begin by applying retinol 3 times a week and then gradually increase the frequency. This is due to the strength of retinol. By increasing the frequency gradually, you allow your skin to become familiar with the product, therefore minimising irritation.
It's also important that you apply a high-quality moisturiser after using retinol to help soothe potential dryness or irritation. As well as this, in the morning, make sure to apply SPF30+. This will protect your skin from the potential sun damage that retinol can lead to.

The most common skin types are dry, combination, and oily. Commonly, dry skin causes feelings of tightness around the eyes and mouth, as well as patches of flaky skin around the cheek area. Combination skin presents a shine on the nose and forehead and also includes dry patches on the cheek area. Whereas oily skin is generally soft and greasy to the touch and gives the cheeks an overly shiny surface.
Yes, you should wash your face twice daily, preferably with a gentle cleanser. This is because bacteria builds up in your skin overnight, so it is important to wash it off in the morning. Washing your face in the morning also acts as a great primer before applying your morning skincare routine.
More importantly, you should always wash your face before you go to bed! Dirt, makeup, and environmental toxins accumulate on your face throughout the day. Washing your face at night removes these impurities and stops pores from becoming clogged.

The coronavirus pandemic has caused a change in our environments, such as spending more time indoors. It is a good idea to create a new skincare routine to accommodate those changes. For example, if you are using a lot of central heating whilst working from home, you should incorporate a high-quality moisturiser into your skincare routine in order to combat excessive dryness.
Vitamin C is a nutrient found in the body that has advantageous effects when consumed as part of a balanced diet. Many people also apply it topically. Vitamin C has incredible anti-aging effects, as it can reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. As well as this, due to its powerful antioxidant properties, it protects the skin from free radical damage. This means it prevents premature skin aging. Furthermore, vitamin C enhances collagen production and helps to create tighter and younger looking skin overall.
Over time, sleep can change the shape and appearance of your skin. This is because your face is compressed into your pillow every night for multiple hours. Ultimately, this can flatten the surface of your skin and cause wrinkles to form. Therefore, it is important to change your pillows every 1-2 years to help enhance the support for your skin.
Moisturiser should always be applied first. As a result, this allows the moisturiser to penetrate into the skin before SPF application. Also, SPF should always be the final step in your skincare routine as it is a thicker consistency, so it must not overshadow the thinner products.
Unfortunately, aging skin is a natural part of getting older, but there are some things you can do to help stop your skin from aging prematurely. First of all, apply sunscreen every day to protect your skin against harmful sun damage. Sun damage can lead to the formation of wrinkles and dark spots. It is also recommended that you use gentle cleansers to avoid unnecessary dryness or irritation, which can cause the skin to become inflamed.
This is one of the most common skincare questions. Many experts advise that you begin using anti-aging products in your 20s and continue to incorporate them as part of your daily skincare routine. This is because your skin stops producing collagen in your 20s. Resultantly, anti-aging products offer preventative measures against the visible signs of aging.
Dry skin is a common skin concern which is easily treatable at home. All you need to do is improve your skincare routine. For example, try using a natural moisturiser that contains no irritants. An example of a good natural moisturiser is pure aloe vera gel. Adding on to this, wash your face twice a day with a gentle cleanser to help wash away any dirt or unwanted dead skin. Finally, make sure to exfoliate once a week to help remove excess dry skin and encourage increased cell turnover.
Vitamin C serums offer a multitude of benefits when incorporated into both your morning and evening skincare routine.
Using a vitamin C serum as part of your morning skincare routine means that your skin is better able to neutralise harmful free radicals. These can build up throughout the day and tear down much-needed skin collagen. On the other hand, when using vitamin C serums as part of your evening routine, you can avoid the risk of dangerous photosensitivity. This is because vitamin C can make skin more sensitive to sunlight.

Often acne sufferers complain about having dry patches that accompany their breakouts. Luckily Simply Bee Teen Skin Care Propolis Acne Balm has antibacterial and antifungal properties, to help clear blemishes and reduce irritation. The Acne Balm contains sustainable bee propolis, which is rich in vitamins, as well as honey, tea tree, and lavender. These ingredients help to soothe and nourish the skin, helping to heal blemishes and control breakouts. Locally crafted skincare balm
Acne scars are extremely common but luckily usually require little to no treatment. However, if you suffer from serious acne, or have a compulsion to pick your spots, acne scarring can occur more intensely.
There's a range of treatments which help to reduce and remove acne scars, as well as things you can do to help get rid of them yourself. These include using salicylic acid and lactic acid which help to exfoliate the skin. Retinol products are also a great way to increase skin cell turnover, helping to reduce scarring.

One of the most uncertain skincare questions is the purpose of toners and whether they're necessary. Essentially, toners are products that are used to remove excess oil, makeup, and dirt. In reality, toners are not necessary, especially if you are using an effective cleanser. This is because they can often lead to dryness or irritation. However, toners do help to shrink the size of enlarged pores, which is helpful for those with an oily skin type or acne-prone skin.
Blackheads form when excess hair and oil become clogged in an open pore. The most effective way to remove blackheads is by getting a high-quality facial treatment.
A great example is a chemical peel. This is because chemical peels, especially those that use salicylic acid, help to exfoliate the skin and unclog affected pores, giving you a clearer and blemish-free complexion.

There are a variety of different treatments and products that help to improve the skin’s elasticity and tighten the overall surface. For example, ingredients such as aloe vera contain malic acid, which helps to create plumper and younger looking skin. Moreover, techniques such as lymphatic massage, use specialist tools to increase blood circulation around affected areas, creating firmer skin. Lastly, products such as retinol serums offer incredible anti-aging results, helping more attractive skin to form over time.
Dark circles are very common and are usually a sign of aging and/or a loss of collagen in the eye area. To remove them permanently, try a combination of clinical and natural remedies. For example, try undergoing a light chemical peel that uses glycolic acid, to help stimulate collagen production and give the skin a glowing complexion. At home, apply a cold compress to the affected area for 10 minutes, both in the morning and the evening.
Anxiety-induced breakouts are very common and are often caused by excess oil secretion brought on by our body’s stress response. As well as learning psychological techniques to cope with stress and anxiety, you may also benefit from using BHAs, such as salicylic acid. These help break down the excess oil found in inflamed or clogged pores. Additionally, using products containing benzoyl peroxide is a great way to fight against the bacteria that causes acne. This helps to keep future breakouts at bay.
As mentioned previously, SPF is a vital part of any skincare routine and should be the last step. It's even important on days when the sun is not as abrasive. Even in the winter months, dangerous UV rays can still penetrate through clouds, and even windows, making you vulnerable to harsh skin damage. This is especially the case if your skin is not fully protected. Sun damage can lead to dark spots, wrinkles and in some cases, skin cancer. SPF needs to be applied daily!
Use a gentle cleanser and avoid harsh scrubbing.
Opt for products containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide to target acne.
Avoid picking or squeezing pimples, as this can lead to scarring.
Consistency is key—don’t try too many products at once.
Oily/Acne-prone skin: Choose a lightweight, non-comedogenic, matte-finish sunscreen.
Dry skin: Opt for hydrating sunscreens with ingredients like hyaluronic acid or glycerin.
Sensitive skin: Mineral sunscreens with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide are usually less irritating.
Use a body wash containing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide.
Shower after sweating, especially after workouts.
Exfoliate regularly to prevent clogged pores.
Wear loose, breathable fabrics to reduce irritation.
Regular exfoliation (1-2 times a week) with a scrub or body brush can help remove dead skin.
Moisturize immediately after showering with a rich cream or lotion containing hydrating ingredients like shea butter or ceramides.
Retinol (vitamin A) for boosting collagen and reducing fine lines.
Vitamin C for brightening skin and fighting free radicals.
Hyaluronic acid for deep hydration.
Peptides to help stimulate collagen production.
While completely removing stretch marks is difficult, products containing retinoids, hyaluronic acid, and vitamin E can help fade them over time.
Laser treatments or micro-needling are also options for more stubborn marks
Use gentle, fragrance-free products.
Look for calming ingredients like aloe vera, colloidal oatmeal, and niacinamide.
Avoid hot water and harsh exfoliants, which can worsen irritation.

This guide provides detailed insights about organic makeup, its benefits, and tips on how to choose the right products for a healthier you.

Going organic doesn't have to stop at your plate! From skincare products to makeup, the beauty industry is catching onto the benefits of natural, organic products. Understanding and choosing organic makeup can be a challenge, but we have put together this comprehensive guide to help you make informed choices. Let’s delve into the world of organic beauty!

The Importance of Organic Makeup

Just as we care about the quality of the food we consume, the same holds true for the products we use on our skin. Our skin absorbs what's applied to it and it eventually makes its way into the bloodstream. Some synthetic chemicals found in traditional makeup can have harmful effects in the long run. By choosing organic makeup products, we shield ourselves from the potential harm that synthetic ingredients can cause.

The Definition of Organic Makeup

Organic makeup is made from naturally sourced ingredients that are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers, pesticides, GMOs, and other harmful substances. The farming methods used to grow these ingredients are sustainable and support the ecosystem. However, it’s important to note that not all “natural” products are organic and the keywords to look for are "certified organic".

How to Choose Your Organic Makeup

  • 1. Read the Labels: As with food, it’s vital to read the labels when choosing organic makeup. Look for products that are certified by reliable organic certification bodies such as USDA or ECOCERT. The certification signifies that the product's ingredients have been grown and processed according to strict regulations.
  • 2. Ingredient Quality: Organic makeup should be free of parabens, synthetic fragrances, and colors; all of which can be harmful to your skin and health. Instead, they should be made from high-quality plants, fruits, oils, and minerals.
  • 3. Brand Reputation: Do some research on the brand before making a purchase. A brand’s reputation, customer reviews, and product consistency can indicate the quality of their organic makeup.
  • 4. Packaging: Packaging is another important factor to consider. Many organic brands use eco-friendly packaging to compliment their sustainably sourced ingredients.
  • 5. Price: Organic makeup can be more expensive due to the cost of growing and sourcing natural ingredients. Price doesn't always denote quality, so do your research to ensure you’re paying for genuine organic products.

Organic Makeup Brands to Consider

Here are a few organic makeup brands that you might want to check out:

  • 1. RMS Beauty: This brand uses food-grade organic ingredients in their products to ensure the highest quality.
  • 2. ILIA: ILIA offers a range of skincare-infused beauty products. All their products are made with up to 85% bioactive organic ingredients.
  • 3. 100% Pure: As the brand name suggests, these products are made from 100% pure ingredients without any synthetic compounds.
  • 4. Juice Beauty: Juice Beauty is known for their eco-friendly lotions and serums that are as healthy as they are effective.
  • 5. Vapour Beauty: Vapour offers organic beauty products that are cruelty-free and made from minimally processed natural ingredients.

Shifting to organic makeup is an enormous step towards holistic wellness. As with any lifestyle change, it might take some time to find products that work best for you. This guide is your starting point to understanding and choosing organic makeup that suits your skin and contributes to a healthier lifestyle and a healthier planet.

Conclusion

Choosing organic makeup requires knowledge about the brands, their ingredients, and the benefits of organic ingredients above synthetic ones. Whether you are choosing makeup because of its environmental impact, potential health benefits, or concern for animal welfare, using organic products contributes to a broader consciousness of our impact in these areas. With this guide, finding the organic makeup perfect for your skin will be easier, setting you on the path to a more natural beauty routine.

Discover the unique skincare needs and practices for different genders in our comprehensive guide. Unravel the secrets to glowing skin, based on scientific, gender-related facts.

The skincare industry has witnessed tremendous growth over the last few decades with more and more people investing time and effort into taking care of their skin. Every person’s skin is unique, and even more than that, they vary greatly on the basis of gender. Men and women’s skin differs in texture, structure, and needs, and hence, their skincare routines should reflect these differences. This guide is for those who are looking for gender-specific skincare tips to best meet their needs.

Understanding Your Skin

  • Men and women have different skin properties. Men’s skin is about 25% thicker than women’s skin with more oil production due to higher amounts of testosterone. This makes their skin more prone to acne and oil-related concerns. On the other hand, women's skin is more delicate and thinner, thus making it vulnerable to early signs of aging.

Skincare Tips for Men

  • Cleansing: Men tend to have larger pores and increased oil production, which can lead to a build-up of dirt and bacteria. Therefore, daily facial cleansing is a must for removing surface oil and maintaining clearer and healthier skin. Choosing a cleanser specific for oily skin is recommended.

  • Exfoliating: Regular exfoliation is key to get rid of dead skin cells and promote healthier skin regeneration. 2-3 times a week is the general recommendation but it can vary based on the skin’s tolerance.

  • Moisturizing: Despite having oily skin, men should not skip moisturizing. A lightweight, non-greasy moisturizer would hydrate the skin without making it oily. It will also maintain the natural barrier of the skin.

  • Shaving Care: Men's skin often undergoes some degree of trauma every time they shave. It’s important to use shaving creams or gels that are soothing on the skin and a post-shave product that helps heal any minor cuts or burns.

  • Sun Protection: Many men forget about using sunblock, but it is a must if you want to protect your skin from premature aging and skin cancer. Choose a sunblock with a minimum SPF of 30 for daily use.

  • Eye Care: The skin around the eyes is thinner on any face, irrespective of gender. Eye creams that reduce puffiness, dark circles, and fine lines should be incorporated into the daily routine.

  • Healthy Habits: Drinking plenty of water, eating a balanced diet, and leading an active lifestyle are integral for having healthy skin. Adequate sleep also allows the skin to rejuvenate.

Skincare Tips for Women

  • Cleansing: Since women’s skin is thinner and less oily, a gentle cleanser should be used. It should be capable of removing makeup without stripping the skin off of its natural oils.

  • Exfoliating: Women should exfoliate their skin two to three times per week to remove dead skin cells and promote a healthy glow. Choose a product that is gentle on the skin to prevent any irritation.

  • Moisturizing: Moisturizing is also important for women as it contributes to the hydration and suppleness of their skin. A heavier moisturizer may be needed for those with dry skin, while light, water-based ones would be efficient for oily or combination skin.

  • Anti-Aging Products: As women have more delicate skin, the age signs appear earlier. Products with ingredients like retinol, vitamin C, and hyaluronic acid can help reduce lines and wrinkles.

  • Sun Protection: Just like for men, sun protection is very important for women too. Daily use of sunscreen prevents premature aging and decreases the risk of skin cancer.

  • Eye Care: Incorporating an eye cream into the skincare routine is recommended for preventing dark circles, puffiness, and wrinkles.

  • Healthy Habits: A balanced diet rich in fruits, vegetables, lean proteins, and healthy fats is the key to glowing skin. Adequate hydration and sleep are also extremely important.

Finally, it's good to remember that everyone's skin is unique, regardless of gender. These are general guidelines that are typically beneficial to men or women's skin, but individual skin types and concerns should always be considered. After all, skincare is not a one-size-fits-all matter. Consulting with a dermatologist, esthetician, or other skin health professional is highly recommended if you have specific concerns.

Enhance your makeup look with these bold blush tips to make a statement. From applying the right shade to the perfect technique, learn how to take your blushing game to the next level.

Blush is a makeup staple that can add a fresh and lively touch to any look. Whether you prefer a soft and natural flush or a bold and vibrant pop of color, there are numerous ways to play with blush and achieve the desired effect. If you're looking to experiment with bolder blush looks, here are 10 bold blush tips to try:

  • 1. Start with a bold blush shade: To achieve a bold blush look, it's important to start with a vibrant blush shade. Opt for shades like bright pinks, corals, or even deeper tones like plum or berry. These shades will give your cheeks a standout appearance.
  • 2. Build up the color: One of the key elements to a bold blush look is layering and building up the color. Start by applying a light layer of blush and gradually build up the intensity to achieve the desired boldness. This allows for better control and ensures that you don't go overboard with the color.
  • 3. Use a dense brush: To effectively apply and blend bold blush shades, it's essential to use a dense brush. A dense brush will pick up more product and deposit the color evenly on your cheeks. It also allows for more control over the application and helps to achieve a seamless blend.
  • 4. Apply blush to the apples of your cheeks: When applying blush, focus on the apples of your cheeks for a youthful and fresh look. Smile and use circular motions to apply the blush in this area. This technique will give the appearance of a natural flush, even with bolder shades.
  • 5. Consider your skin tone: While bold blush shades can look stunning on any skin tone, it's essential to consider your skin tone when selecting the right shade. For fair skin, lighter and brighter shades like pinks and peaches work well, while deeper skin tones can experiment with richer tones like plums and berries.
  • 6. Mix blush shades: Another way to create a bold blush look is by mixing different shades. Experiment with combining two or more blush shades to create a unique and customized color. This allows you to create a shade that complements your skin tone and adds an extra dimension to your makeup look.
  • 7. Contour and highlight: To enhance and complement your bold blush, consider incorporating contouring and highlighting techniques. Use a bronzer to contour the hollows of your cheeks and a highlighter to add a subtle glow to the high points of your face. This adds dimension and balance to the overall look.
  • 8. Experiment with application techniques: There are various application techniques you can try to achieve different effects with your bold blush. For a more diffused and blended look, use a stippling brush or a sponge. For a more precise and defined application, use a smaller, angled brush. Play around with different techniques to find the one that works best for you.
  • 9. Consider your overall makeup: When creating a bold blush look, it's essential to consider your overall makeup. Opt for neutral or subtle eye makeup to let your blush take center stage. A bold lip color can also complement the blush and create a cohesive and balanced look.
  • 10. Don't be afraid to be bold: The most important tip when it comes to creating a bold blush look is to not be afraid to be bold. Embrace the vibrant colors and experiment with different shades. Confidence is key, and wearing a bold blush look can make you feel empowered and ready to take on the world.

Bold blush can be a fun and playful addition to your makeup routine. Whether you're heading to a special event or simply want to switch up your everyday look, these 10 bold blush tips can help you create a stunning and attention-grabbing makeup look. Remember to start with a bold shade, build up the color gradually, and consider your skin tone for the perfect blush shade.  We often use exfoliators or scrubs and masks incorrectly or not at all, though using them once or twice a week makes a difference in our skincare routine. There's a wide range of exfoliants to choose from, depending on skin type, and the rule of thumb is to use the gentlest kind. Gentle exfoliation is important: if you rub too hard, you may damage and even bleed your skin, risking infection. You can even use papaya or pineapple as light exfoliants; just crush and apply for 10 minutes before washing off. Clay masks are best for oily skin, sheet masks for sensitive, and cream masks for dry. We're here to guide you with the right products - just ask!

Eyeshadow, when applied correctly, can work wonders in showcasing the beauty of your eye. The colours can enhance your look, and define your eye shape. However, applying it correctly can be quite tricky. With this comprehensive masterclass guide, you'll learn how to apply eyeshadow in several strategic steps, designed to make your eyes pop.1. Understanding Your Eye ShapeBefore you can move on to the application process, you need to understand your eye shape as it plays a crucial role in deciding the makeup technique. The common eye shapes include monolid, round, almond, downturned, and hooded. Once you've identified your eye shape, the application process gets more streamlined and specific to your needs.2. Choosing the Right Eyeshadow PaletteThe right palette can make or break your eyeshadow application. Pick a palette that has both matte and shimmer shades. The matte ones can be used as base colours, and the shimmery ones will help add depth and highlight specific areas.

  • Brown or neutral tones are good for an everyday look
  • Bright colours can make a bold statement
  • Experiment with different shades until you find what works best for you

3. Prime Your EyesPrimer ensures that your eyeshadow stays put and doesn't crease. After prepping your eye area with concealer and foundation, apply an even layer of primer over your eyelids. An essential step in our eye-popping masterclass, priming also helps in enhancing the vibrancy of the colours you apply later.4. Start With a BrushYour fingers might be handy, but nothing beats the precision and smoothness a brush can provide. Invest in a good quality, soft brush that won't irritate your eyes. A flat brush is perfect for applying a base, while fluffier brushes work well for shading and blending.5. Applying the BaseThe base is crucial as it gives the colours something to stick to, making them more vibrant and long-lasting. Use a light neutral shade for your base, lightly applying it over the entire eyelid. Ensure the layer is even and reaches up to the brow bone.6. Add Depth with a Darker ShadeNow that your base is set, you can add some depth. Using a soft, fluffy brush, apply a slightly darker shade to the outer edge of your eye and the crease. This helps in creating depth and contouring your eyes. As we move on in the eye-popping masterclass, remember that darker colours should always sit at the outer edges to create an illusion of larger, brighter eyes.7. Layering ShadesAfter your base and darker shade are in place, it's time to have some fun with your chosen colours. Pick a variety of shades from your palette, and apply them layer by layer, starting from the inner corner of your eye and working your way mid-crease. Remember to blend out the colours for a smooth transition.8. Highlight and DefineUse a shimmering shade for the inner corners and your brow bone to highlight these areas. You can also opt for a lighter shade to define your lower lash line. The right highlight can dramatize your eye makeup and make your eyes pop.9. Blend, Blend, and BlendBlending is the key to flawless eyeshadow application. Using a clean, fluffy brush, blend the colours in your crease in a windshield wiper motion. This will smooth out any harsh lines and make the colours transition seamlessly. You might feel that this step is tiring and time-consuming, but doing it correctly is crucial to achieving an eye-popping look.10. Finish with Mascara or EyelinerAn eye-popping masterclass would be incomplete without something to define your lashes. Applying mascara or liner gives your eyes a more finished look. Empower your lashes with a lengthening mascara, or opt for a thin, perfectly aimed liner to define the shape of your eyes.In conclusion, eyeshadow application is an art that takes practice to perfect. With this comprehensive guide, you can confidently master this art and enhance your overall look. Embrace this eye-popping masterclass and let your eyes speak volumes about your style and personality!

In the rush of our daily routines, we often pass by mundane spaces like our lingerie drawer or linen closet without a second thought. Making something sweet-smelling for these nooks and crannies will produce a simple pleasure to greet you each time you open a drawer or cupboard in your home.

Create an essential oil-filled sachet to add the delicate scent of lavender in unexpected places. These pocket-sized pouches give a tiny dose of aromatherapy and freshen up any unpleasant-smelling areas.

How to make DIY scented sachets

What you need

½ cup uncooked rice

¼ cup Epsom salt

1 cup dried lavender buds

Muslin cotton drawstring pouches, approximately 10cm×12 cm.

40 drops Lavender essential oil

What you do

1. In a medium bowl, mix rice, Epsom salt, flower buds, and essential oil to thoroughly scent the mixture.

2. Spoon mixture into your muslin pouch.

3. Place anywhere you want to add a fresh lavender scent.

4. Refresh your pouch every 2─3 weeks by opening it up and adding more drops of essential oil.

This recipe creates enough for two sachets.

Where to put scented sachets

Here are a few ideas:

• Place it with other natural-looking decor on a tray in a bathroom or guest room.

• Stash it in a drawer for delicately scented clothes.

• Store it in a linen closet for fresh sheets and towels.

• Keep it in the car to hang on your rearview mirror.

• Hide it away in a gym bag to quell any odors.

• Throw it in your suitcase for clean-smelling clothes while you're on the go.

• Stuff it in smelly shoes to give them a refresh.

• Place it in your pillowcase to surround yourself in calming aromas as you drift off to sleep.

You don't have to use a muslin bag, any bag (or a sock without a measure🤣) can work and any flavor combination - you can rose petals and geranium.... Be creative.

It's even a cute gift😁
